(64.223.229.65) | Ok, first you should learn to type with proper wordage. What is "foreva" are you going "gangsta"? Second, you don't need a lot of improvement when you have word of mouth through Dungeonmastering.com, thats equals an 9 Red Dragon rating to begin with.

Location: Lancaster, UK (84.67.216.210) | You're online and you transmit graphics digitally. That means the world is your oyster. I'm from the UK and I found you, anyone with an internet connection could potentially hire your services and sometimes not being able to see how much it would cost in your country's currency might put people off from hiring you. Q-workshop sells gaming dice and they have a drop down menu that allows the viewer to change the sites currency into whatever they prefer.
That's just the first thing that came to mind, I'm sure I can think of more. That's not to say your site is fundementally deficient, just that there's always room for improvement and if I can think of a way to get more business for you guys then I'll let you know. |

What is "foreva" are you going "gangsta"? {holds up his vampire-color hands in a thug sign} No man, it was more to not try & pretend that we're going to be around 'forever.' When Network Solutions has 100 year domain registration , you have to wonder if some companies are either taking themselves too seriously or are a wee bit optimistic. In the scheme of things, it'd be nice if AvatarArt could put in a solid decade of quality service. Beyond that, who's to say? In the process of determining how long to renew our domains, questions were raised about both our longevity & our legacy. We gave some serious thoughts as to the impermanence of life as well as wondering what our work would be thought of years from now. Mortality itself was deeply, deeply considered. Or maybe I was just lazy & wanted to save typing a letter. {cough}
Second, you don't need a lot of improvement when you have word of mouth through Dungeonmastering.com, thats equals an 9 Red Dragon rating to begin with. The proper wordage of "thats equals" aside, while we are sincerely gratefui to Yaz, Expy, & all of DungeonMastering.com's fans, we're looking for a 10 Red Dragon rating. Minimum. So please, whether we'll be here for 10 years or 10 times 10 years, we want to be the best we possibly can. Get us those suggestions & get entered into the contest. |

Hmmm. Good point. How would that work with currency fluctuations though? I'll pass this along to our Chief Engineer to see what he thinks.
Good call, UK Jack.
And yes, my subject line here is the name of the next James Bond film. |

Currency Converter now added to payment page ( https://www.AvatarArt.com/MakePayment/ ). It's powered by OANDA Trade/Market Quick Converter App, and as such should have up-to-date conversion rates. This is also now integrated into the "Pay Now" option of the Creation Guide.
Thanks for the suggestion.

(Wait, scratch that, I found out how to do it.)
It's hard ripping someone up about their grammer, spelling or punctuation because once you start doing it
it you are calling your own writing into question and one single type-o makes you look like an ass. Despite the
the fact that a lot of the time the people who take enjoyment out of mocking the grammer of the losers you run into online are actually pretty cool guys.
I know I am...
(Anyone notice the deliberate errors?)

- They posted it on the forums so we could read it
- We made it happen
For his effort, Jack gets a $20 service credit from AvatarArt that he can use, give away, or re-sell. Yeah, gift certificates & credit from us A) never expires & B) is fully, 100$ transferable. Kudos to both Jack for the idea & to Justin for enacting it successfully. Voila. Nexxxxxxt!

Yeah, those subject lines can be elusive bastards. Try using a thermal imaging camera. It's hard ripping someone up about their grammer, spelling or punctuation because once you start doing it it you are calling your own writing into question and one single type-o makes you look like an ass. Karma's a bitch that way.
Despite the the fact that a lot of the time the people who take enjoyment out of mocking the grammer of the losers you run into online are actually pretty cool guys. Why thank you. For the record, I have no issue with ramiuskittrang's comment. We're all pretty thick-skinned around here, so no big. But the protocol is, "don't dish it out if you can't take it."
(Anyone notice the deliberate errors?) Yes. You said 'ass' instead of 'asshole.'

Location: Maryland (128.231.88.5) | Ok, this is just a small suggestion nothing big. But I think it would nice if you had some sort of comment box for your Annoucements section. That way if someone wants to make a comment about say for example the new 'Ennies' annoucement they would not have to come to the forums and start a new thread. Not sure it would help..but just thought it would be a neat idea...
Oh, plus I noticed there's no link or 'see previous annoucement' spot. If maybe someone wanted to see past annoucements. |

You caught me here on lunch break...
Great idea!
I've added in additional links for "view past announcements" and "comment" to the announcements box in the sidebars. I also added the ability to "comment" directly from the list of articles (which sorts descending by date / the most recent first). Comments are directed to the proper category here in the forum. Now, back to work I go. :/

However I'll do something to make it more obvious; i.e. move it around on the page or something. Thanks, Darkwarren. |

Now here's another suggestion: I love the Avatar Art Live! section, it really gives future customers a feel of how the process goes throughout creation. This got me thinking... could we somehow tell the stories of our characters as presented here in the galleries? This matches up with the Wordsmithing section - people can have a community where they can write stories, share tales, create poetry about the art that they have worked with Avatar Art to create. |

To Darkwarren: Well actually, I'm already working on a Community Forum Blogging system, this would enable each member of the Forum to also host their own blog associated with their account. This I think would be very similar to what you're talking about. I hope to have it up and running in a week or so, and available to the public within the next couple weeks.
Another Forum Member features in the works: traditional mailing-list subscriptions.
Thanks again for the great idea. |

Added a link to the 'Infamous AvatarArt Forums' via the "Loyal Allies " area. Now, even Darkwarren can find it. Well, maybe. Quick note: Darkwarren & I were in a gaming group together, hence it cool to give each other crap all the time. Hence the 'tude. |

(I.e: whats dragon con?whos going? ect..)
note: I already know about DragonCon just making an example
EDIT: also, is there a button for 'unread post' I think its handy, but if you have it I can't seem to locate it

(78.31.60.128) | Well, I don't know if I can get a $10 gift certificate to pay myself for a nice character portrait but here is my thought on one forum thing: every time I login I have to look around for the thread in which I participated and new replies have been posted. Maybe a pre-forum window to appear for each user and show links towards the threads in which he/she replied and which have new replies (excuse my phrasing on this one). I hope this makes sens. Sort of a User Control Panel. |

Location: Rochester, NY: hour East of Buffalo on LK Ontario (74.69.82.37) | We've had 2 good ideas, so to get more we're doubling the award to $20, which is close to a FREE portrait. This will also be retroactive, so both Jack & KatsObsession will have their Credit 'bumped' up accordingly. Justin can decide if Darkwarren's idea was different enough from what was already being done to be rewarded. So yeah: $20 in transferable AvatarArt credit for each idea that we end up using. |

Location: Lancaster, UK (90.240.69.141) | I've found that when I want to refresh the forums to see if anyone has posted in the interim of me mooshing around, it takes me back to the home page.
Also I've found that clicking the back button doesn't always work and sometimes I need to give it three or four clicks before the site goes back a page.
Don't know if they count as suggestions, per se, but it's an issue I found that may be just me or may be affecting everyone. Don't know...
I was also thinking it might be a nice touch to have sample thumbnails in the albums section, so one image from each album can be selected by the uploader as the Album Cover image. And a thumbnail of that image would appear in the album menu section.
Can it be done? *looks to Justin* |

Location: Maryland (128.231.88.6) | Actually Jack, your right about clicking the back button. I always have to give it a few clicks before it will actually go back.
Also, another odd thing I noticed is when I visit the page (everyday of course) and I hit the 'new threads' section I don't always read them all so when I go to view them the next day they are no longer in my 'new threads' section even though I did not directly click on them to view.
So my question..is the 'new threads' set up by day? So your only seeing the 'new threads' for the day and not 'New threads' to you. If so, can that be changed? instead of having to click through every thread to see if there is something new? pa pa pa pleaaseee |
